Anyway, I purchased this darling little picnic basket last year at my favorite antique store for only $6.00! The only problem was that it just seemed 'dull'- like it needed a little more 'something' going on. That leads me to today's DIY picture tutorial- The Chalkboard Picnic Basket! Enjoy....and get your picnic on!
The basket before.
What you'll need: Chalkboard spray paint, tape, and newspaper.
Cover the 'entire' outside of the basket leaving only the top exposed. Use your tape to cover any open spaces. *Spray paint loves to get on everything around it!
TWO coats of black chalkboard paint on the lid. - Let it sit for at least 24 hours to completely dry.
Chalk it baby! ;)
Fun, fun, fun. - The chalk erases great! You can change the writing as often as you'd like.
Bear and I are ready for a picnic, blanket and all. Ben is taking the pictures. :)
He never misses a photo op! :) This little guy loves the camera (and bones!).

Thank you so much for reading and following. Please be sure to like us on Facebook and follow along there as well. I hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend, I know I did! I'll see you back here on Wednesday.
I'll leave you today with two photos from my weekend:
My mother's Poppies are in full bloom!! Maybe my favorite flower ever. So beautiful. You can see them clear across the yard.
Growing your hair out? Try it! Start by making a hair bump on top of your head (& bobby pin it) and then curl the sides & back and pin two pieces of your sides too. Top it off by adding a fun hair piece/bow.
