Can someone say TGIF?!

Welcome to a fun little Friday DIY tutorial here at the Bee's Knees. I know there are a million and one ways to get creative when it comes to storing jewelry these days. When you scan through Pinterest you can find just about every way possible to hang & store your valuables! I happen to be a huge fan of these cute little wall mounts so I chose to create some for myself. Let's take a peek at how to make these cuties.

DIY Jewelry Hanger/Mounts

Materials: Two canvases (I scored mine at the dollar store), Two fabric quarters, Cute buttons (or other embellishment), Hooks, and a hot glue gun.
Cut fabric just big enough to stretch and fit around the back of the canvas.
Fold fabric around the back and hot glue it in place. **Note- I personally think it would work better if you use a staple gun but since I don't have one 'yet' I just hot glued it.
Embellish it! Get creative and have fun.

Screw in hook nails. First start by tapping the end in with a hammer. This will help you twist it in easier.

Well, it's crunch time for me as I will be running a 5k in about two weeks! Ben is my coach and he is whipping me into good shape, no worries. ;) I will make sure to post all the details and pictures from the event when it comes. I'm really looking forward to it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Next week is going to be another good one here at The Bee's Knees so stay tuned for all the fun. Oh, by the way- who is going to see The Dark Knight Rises this weekend?? I think that may be in our plans. I'm really looking forward to it.

  1. Great job Melissa! I have 2 white tie racks that have lots of hooks. They're in my closet and they keep all my necklaces and bracelets nice and neat. For my earrings I have 2 white plastic divider cases used for screws and nuts. You can get them at any Aco or hardware store. Yours are so MUCH prettier but I thought I'd share my jewelry organizer ideas with you.

    Love you!

    1. Thanks for sharing those ideas Aunt Heather! :)

I love your comments! Leave me some.
