Here are two of my 'favorite' facial scrubs that you can EASILY make at home in minutes.
Olive Oil & Sugar Scrub
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Granulated Sugar
- *Optional: A few drops of essential oil (lavender, peppermint, or rose oil are great suggestions)
Oh yes- and make sure you only use 'extra virgin olive oil' and 'granulated' sugar.

You won't believe how soft and silky your face will feel after using this scrub. I just did it this morning so I'm feeling super awesome!
Baking Soda Scrub
- Baking Soda
- Water
Seriously though- could this be any easier? You may chuckle at the simplicity of this little remedy but let me tell you- the results are divine! You can use this gentle scrub with a battery powered facial buffer or just rub some scrub all over the face, let it sit for 3 minutes, then wash off. After a month or so of use, you should notice smaller pores and an overall improvement in complexion. Cha ching!
When you're finished with the scrubs you can store the leftovers in small Tupperware containers like these:
Clarisonic Mia Review
Speaking of facial buffers... My sweet husband surprised me with a Clarisonic Mia this Christmas (it's even pink!!). I can't even begin to describe to you how much I love this thing. I've been using it daily since Christmas and my skin feels awesome! What makes the Clarisonic different from other facial scrubbers is that it works similar to an Ultrasonic toothbrush. It vibrates at more than 300 times a second and really knocks out the dirt and build up in those pores- leaving skin feeling amazing.
If you're looking into facial buffers but aren't ready to drop some $$ on a Clarisonic just yet, have no fear, there are other reasonable options that work great too and I'm going to share some with you, cool?
Conair Power Facial Cleanser - About $13
Olay Pro x Buffer System - $21.97 (Amazon)
