Urban Decay 'Fishnet' Eyeshadow + A Tutorial

Friday, March 1, 2013

It's Friday! We made it friends. I don't know about you, but it's been a loooooong week for me.

I'm 'extra' happy Friday is here because tonight I'm attending the 'Bodies of Art' Fashion Show in Grand Rapids, MI. The show theme is '1001 Sheets' and each outfit that walks the runway will be made entirely of various construction papers! Can you imagine that?? I can hardly wait. If you're not following via Twitter, you should probably do that as I'll be tweeting all night with updates. :)
Bottom line? It promises to be an interesting show. I mean, come on- how many people can say they've seen a runway show inspired entirely by paper craft?

Ok, on to today's business- I'm in love with Urban Decay's eyeshadow in 'Fishnet'. I've had my eyeball on this baby for several months now and I finally broke down and bought it last week. Love, love, love it. Let's take a peek at a little tutorial on how I'm wearing it today, shall we?

The tools:
Urban Decay's shadow in 'Fishnet', Avon eye makeup remover, Q-tip, Benefit 'They're Real!' mascara, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, and Sephora pro eyeliner brush.
Base coat- light colored shadow from brow to lash line.
Urban Decay's 'Fishnet' shadow in crease and winged out to the side.
Take a Q-tip dabbed in makeup remover and clean up the wings like so ^ to create a perfect line.
Line top lid with a heavy black eyeliner. Next, take an eyeliner brush, dip it in the pot of 'Fishnet' shadow (or similar purple) and create a hard line from the end of the lash line up to the end of the wing.
^Like so ^
Fill in your brows, add mascara, and you're done!!

Have an excellent weekend friends!! You're the best- and 'thank you' for reading. ;)
