I saw The Great Gatsby this weekend and I 'loved' it. Have you seen it yet? Leo knocked it out of the park (as usual) and the costume design, Tiffany jewels (drool), and hair/makeup were outstanding! Ben enjoyed it too! Obviously I had to go a little fancy to celebrate, after all, it's Gatsby!
I thrifted this sequined blouse but it's originally from Target (Neiman Marcus collection). Nothing like scoring a luxury find for $5 dollars! And all the thrifters said amen..
I'm thinking we should recreate some fun Gatsby hair/makeup, what do you think!? I have a few ideas in mind so stay tuned for more to come on that.
Saturday morning we ventured to our local farmer's market to snatch up some local finds. Mmmm... Just one more reason I love spring, summer, and fall! 'And' our market has been carrying more and more organic products which is extremely encouraging. Saturday night we met up with my parents at their campsite to enjoy some biking, dinner, and s'mores over a bon fire. We had the BEST time. Seriously- camp fires foster some great conversation. We had my dad on a roll telling stories we'd never even heard before! It was great.
Sunday we went to one of our favorite churches in Grand Rapids and then had lunch with some dear friends. All in all, it was one action-packed weekend! Did you do anything exciting? Let me hear about it. :)
