Muskegon Pierhead Lighthouse

One of Michigan's most cherished treasures- our lighthouses.
These pictures were taken while Ben and I were on vacation two weeks ago in Muskegon. I just love this cherry red beauty, gleaming in the sun!-->>
The weather was absolutely perfect this day and we took full advantage of it (we even went swimming in Lake Michigan!). Ben and I spent the majority of the day biking around the beach areas of Muskegon and exploring new territory. This lighthouse is a little tricky to get to, but once you're here- the view is amazing! We even saw several sail boats enter and leave the channel. It's fun waving at all the boaters.
Thank goodness for self-timers that capture images like this. ^

Sunny smiles from the Mitten...
