This past weekend Ben and I took our first summer vacation of the season and it was a blast. It was so nice to get away from everything and just enjoy the beauty of nature and all of the natural resources Michigan has to offer. Our State Parks are true gems and we are so fortunate to have them. All of the beach photos in this post were taken at Muskegon State Park. Enjoy!- the scenery is gorgeous.
Our first stop on our way to the park was Madcap- one of Michigan's finest coffee lounges. Every time we're in Grand Rapids we make it a point to stop and grab a homemade pastry and a delicious cup-o'-joe.
So much sand!! Ben snapped this on our first walk down to the beach. Half of the seating area on the stairs is literally covered in mounds of sand! Glory.
Some views inside the park. Whether you're looking for woods or sand- you'll be satisfied here.
Our quaint little campsite. :) Home sweet home for the weekend.
Yes, the screen tent is way larger than our little sleeping tent. And indeed, we do have 'his' and 'hers' chairs. Hehe...
I hope you'll consider visiting Michigan this summer. You won't regret it!
Love you guys- thanks for reading. I'll be back with you soon!
