Fall Colors Tour - Part 2 // Petoskey Sunset

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

The very last stop on our fall colors tour was Petoskey, to watch the sunset. We couldn't have planned it any better. By the time we exited the Tunnel of Trees and made our way around the bay, we arrived in Petoskey just in time to watch the burning autumn sun setting over Lake Michigan. Picturesque!
We even found a really cool waterfall on our hike down to the water.
I think one of my favorite things about northern Michigan is the smell of the fall air. There's just something so nostalgic about that scent. Maybe it's all the time we spent up north in our family cabin when I was a little girl. Whatever the case, I love it up here. And I'm half convinced I could live here.
Like I mentioned in the previous post, sorry for the outfit repeat. I had too many pictures from one day to squeeze into a single post! Just wasn't happening.

I hope you've enjoyed these recaps of our fall colors tour. It's only a shame I couldn't bottle up all of the sights and smells and send you some. ;)

We're in full-swing fall 'round here and the festivities just keep coming! I'm looking forward to sharing more 'autumn-ish' posts this week, so watch for those. I hope your week is off to a great start! I'll see you back here soon.
