Our second day of vacation led us to Boone Hall Plantation. We were both really intrigued to see this pristine landmark and learn about the history and culture of the plantation (we're nerdy like that). Not to mention, the landscaping and grounds are immaculate! AND- you may have noticed (based on the above picture) that various scenes from The Notebook were filmed here, including this beautiful oak-covered avenue. The Spanish moss that grows & hangs from the oak trees is just beautiful, and not something we see here in Michigan.
One of my favorite things about the plantation were the gardens!! Oh the gardens...
I swear every poppy was in bloom when we were there, and that made me SO happy as they're one of my favorite flowers. They're so cheerful and unique, don't you agree?
I decided to wear this printed shift dress from Ruche for the occasion! I love the drop waist and tulip sleeves. I snagged this dress on clearance right before we left for our trip.
We really did have such a beautiful time on vacation. Looking at these photos is bringing back all the great memories we made! That's what vacations are for, right? ;)
Have a great week, friends! I'll be back with you soon.
