Last weekend Ben and I ventured out on our annual fall colors tour in northern Michigan! There's just 'nothing' like fall- and especially this year. It seems like the colors have lasted SO long on the trees. We still have a ton of beautiful foliage here in mid-Michigan. I'm staring at a gorgeous orange and yellow maple in our yard as I type.
This year we decided to head back up to Traverse City, MI and spend most of our time touring the peninsula area. Old Mission Peninsula is known for acres and acres of grape, cherry, and apple crops. It feels like you've stepped into Napa Valley, CA for a quick minute. Seriously- grape vineyards as far as the eye can see. It's really something to behold. We spent most of the morning and day discovering new places on the peninsula and then in the evening we made our way back into downtown Traverse City for dinner and Morsels! Morsels is a fabulous little coffee and dessert spot that serves Chicago-based Intelligentsia Coffee. We always make it a point to stop when we're in the area.
As our day in TC came to a close, we headed further north to continue our colors tour and get tucked in to our accommodations for the evening. -More to come on the rest of our trip next week!
How has your fall been? Doing anything fun? Tell me in the comments, I love hearing from you. Have a great weekend friends!
