At long last it's here- My first ever Stitch Fix review!
I've known about this awesome personal styling service for over a year and just now got around to trying it out for myself. #procrastination. Anyway- I'm so excited to fill you in on all the details of how Stitch Fix works. I was overwhelmingly satisfied with my first box and actually loved ALL of the pieces selected for me. It wasn't in the budget to keep every item but I love my final selections anyway.
I'll just go piece by piece through the box and then explain the subscription process at the end. Cool? Cool.
Corinna Striped Dolman Top / Medium- $48.00
You guys, this top is heaven. It's slouchy, classic, and SO freaking comfortable. I tried it on and fell in love. The material quality is excellent and I love the length and the fact that I can layer it and wear it with so many things. The verdict: KEEP.
Kut from the Kloth, Kate Boyfriend Jean / Size 8- $78
My stylist told me that these were one of the most popular boyfriend jeans they sell- when I tried them on I understood why. These jeans fit perfectly all over. I wouldn't even need to alter them in any way! That's pretty impressive considering jean shopping can be a bear for anyone. I would have loved to keep these but I weighed my options and although I loved them, decided to send them back. Verdict: Return.
Moni Chain Print Stud Detail Blouse / Medium- $58
I love this blouse and the overall quality of the material and fit. Isn't it perfect for the fall season? The color is gorgeous and I love the stud details. I forgot to take a picture of the back-side of the sleeves, but they come to a V-shape behind the elbows and they're lined with studs too. SO cute. Once again- a shirt I can layer and wear so many different ways. Not to mention, great for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday! Verdict: KEEP
C. Luce, Kailani Sleeveless Pleated Chiffon Dress / Medium- $78
This dress fit so perfectly and I absolutely loved the pleated top. However, I didn't feel that it was worth the $78 and although I know it would be great for layering, I'm holding off for now. The verdict: Return
RD Style, Beaumont Faux Leather Trim Cardigan / Medium- $98
You guys... This cardigan is SO dreamy. When you put it on it feels like being enveloped in a host of puffy clouds. So warm and so soft! And that pattern! Ugh... This was the hardest decision of them all because I just loved this cardigan. Alas, I couldn't justify $98 dollars so unfortunately the verdict was: Return.
A few things to know:
1.) Let me just be clear here: If I could, I would have kept 'everything' in my box. It all fit perfectly and there wasn't anything I didn't like. The nice thing about Stitch Fix is that if you decide to keep all 5 items that came in your fix, you get a 25% discount! For me that would have been about $90 dollars, bringing the total cost of the box to $225, which is definitely a savings. Maybe some day. ;) Considering the designer brands and high quality items, this service is totally worth it.
2.) Each time you order a fix there's a $20 dollar stylist fee. The nice part- that $20 is applied toward any item you keep from your box!
3.) A prepaid shipping return bag is provided in your fix so you can send back any unwanted items for free
4.) Stitch Fix has an outstanding referral program! Each person is given their own code to share with friends. Anytime one of your friends signs up using your referral code and orders a fix, a $25 dollar credit is applied to your account. How great is that? :)
5.) In my opinion- everyone should try this service at least once! Such a fun experience having a personal stylist hand-pick items just for you. The detailed style-profile you'll fill out will help your stylist know 'exactly' what you like and what size you are.
Inside the box-->
Last but not least- your fix will come with style cards to help show you creative ways to wear all of your new items! I've even seen some women create huge inspiration boards with all of their cards. Need some help getting dressed in the morning? No problem.
I know this is a longer than normal post (and no, I'm not being paid for this)- but dang, I just loved my experience. If you want to try Stitch Fix for yourself and get in on the fun, CLICK HERE or on the banner in the sidebar. And if you have any questions I didn't cover, ask me in the comments.
Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you're having a great week.
