A few weeks back, Ben and I attended our town's yearly art walk event. This is probably my favorite annual event and I look forward to it each September! I love discovering new art work, patronizing local businesses, and mingling with friends along the way. With a town our size, it's hard 'not' to run into at least a few people you know, and that's just fine by me.
Ben and I started the evening off right by eating at our favorite local restaurant, Lula's. You may remember me posting about it 'here'. This time we tried the tour of New Orleans and it was fabulous! There were at least 7 various menu items to try in the tour and 'everything' was delicious. Not to mention, it comes plated to your table looking like a piece of art all on its own!
Absolutely, positively, hands-down my favorite entree?? THIS ^^ Chicken & waffles. I can't even describe the flavors, people. Totally a splurge but so worth it.
Live statues! Some of my favorites.
No, sadly the puppy is not mine, but I wanted to take him home 'real' bad.
Art Bike was a featured exhibit this year and it was amazing to see what people could create with bikes! (above)
Foster Coffee Company is a new addition to our downtown area and it's 'delish'. Craft coffee at its finest! -And the only place you'll find Madcap pour overs in Owosso. They're only serving at the Owosso Farmer's Market and other local events until their brick & mortar store is finished downtown. Oh, and the cutie with the blonde hair is my sister. ;)
I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. It's girls night at my house tonight. My sister is cooking dinner and then we're watching a movie! Later this week I'm going camping for a few days and can't wait for campfires, down time, and long walks with Ben & Winston. I'm trying my hardest to enjoy these last waning moments of warm weather as I know fall is fast approaching (Wednesday, to be exact!).
