This past weekend was our annual fall colors tour. Our home base this year was in Gaylord, Michigan and we made day trips out from there. Gaylord is an absolutely beautiful Michigan city because it's filled with dense forestry and tons of maple trees, so the fall colors 'really' show off. HOWEVER.... this is how we started our 'colors tour' on Saturday>>>

Snow. LOTS of snow. Like, at least 3 inches worth. I couldn't believe my eyes. We woke up Saturday morning to this little 'surprise'. Ben said- "well, white's a color, right?" Heh... Not quite what I was looking for, but thankfully it ALL melted away by mid-afternoon and we were able to see the pretty colors once again. Homegirl isn't quite ready for snow yet.

These pictures were all taken near the small lake where we were staying. We had a nice view of the water and trees from our room's window! So beautiful. I was especially fond of the reflection of the trees off the water.

Ben snagged this sweater for me on his last business trip to Nashville. The boy knows me! ;)

All things considered, we had an awesome trip! We took a drive through the tunnel of trees which probably wasn't the smartest idea on a busy Saturday, but oh well. A trip to Kilwin's Chocolate made up for the traffic. ;) It's hard to leave that place without buying one of everything! It smells like heaven, but dang it's expensive. I walk through the doors and money starts falling out of my purse.

In other news, lately I've really been exploring the world of yoga and it's kind of becoming my go-to workout as it's something I can do right in my living room while baby naps. My sister told me about Yoga with Adriene on Youtube and I LOVE her. She's funny, encouraging, and has a yoga video for everything! The best part- it's free. Not to mention, it's hard to get to the gym right now with Winston still being so little. I'm enjoying the challenge each new video brings and I'm excited to see some results. It's been a slow moving turtle getting my body moving again post-c section. For a while it still hurt to do some yoga poses, but lately, I'm feeling great! And by great I mean sore everywhere because yoga is no joke, people.

Anyway, have you tried yoga? Do you like it? It's a fun journey, seeing what this body is capable of doing. And I'm hoping it turns out to be a good mainstay for me because it's something I can take with me anywhere!-Bonus.
I'll keep you updated on my yoga journey periodically, and I'd love to hear from some of you too! Tell me your favorite poses or ideas.
