An Outfit + What I've Been Up To

Hey friends! How's it going? Things are great here, just the usual winter hibernation. ;) Although I must say, I'm trying 'really' hard to enjoy winter this year, and so far it's working! It certainly helps that our temperatures have been super mild, not at all like previous years. And the snow seems to fall gently every day, just a little bit, like being in a snow globe or something. It's beautiful. I wish I got more into winter activities but there's not a ton around us for snowboarding and I don't have a snowmobile (bummer). If we lived a little farther north I'm sure Ben and I would have winter passes to a ski resort, but alas, we're homesteading in the heart of the mitten, so there's that.

My awesome sister picked out this turtleneck tunic for me for Christmas and I love it. SO versatile and it can be worn 100 ways. My favorite is wearing it under a jacket or sweater like so:
And yes, believe it or not, most days all I need is a light jacket layered over a sweater when going out. It's been that mild.
Beanies, beanies, beanies. I LOVE them. I scored this one at H&M for like, 3 bucks. Can't beat it! Actually, I got this at an H&M in Florida when we were visiting. Btw, Florida is the best place to shop for winter clearance (ha!). They hardly ever need beanies and outerwear! I stocked up big time.

So let's talk about life lately. Winston is 7 months old! -Can you believe it?! He's a doll and growing happier and sweeter each day. Ben and I are so grateful for him. He's my peanut.
We just reserved a sweet camping spot on Lake Michigan for his 1 year birthday in July! Four days of sand, sunshine, and celebrating his life. We can't wait!

In other news, Ben and I are in the process of selling our home and finding another! What a whirlwind. Showings, cleaning, CHAOS. This is about 10x harder with a baby in tow. Good thing we know that God has the perfect home for us and that this is all temporary. But jeez, I can't wait to nestle into our new home. Mama bear-syndrome: in full swing. ;)

So yes, life is busy, but oh-so good. I get overwhelmed sometimes but find peace knowing that I'm in good hands.

Psalm 37:23-24 "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fallfor the Lord holds them by the hand."
