Ben had Good Friday off work so we planned a little day trip to Birch Run outlets to update the ol' spring wardrobes and spend some quality time together. I'm so grateful for my parents who love to watch Winston for us when we want to get out for a bit. We had a blast. I find that shopping is always better when you have a chunk of money saved up, that way you can just go boss on some serious deals. So that's exactly what we did. I basically landed a whole new spring wardrobe! And man did that feel good. I haven't 'seriously' shopped since before Winston.
Since this wasn't my first 'outlet shopping' rodeo, I knew enough to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for hours of walking and deal hunting. My go-to outfit choice was this stretchy striped dress, a spring jacket, and Keds. Easy-peasy and perfect for trying on lots of clothes. The dress was simple to slip on & off.
One of my favorite finds of the day was this reversible tote from Bass. It can go from coral to this rich cognac color.
So, in other news- I am currently 'completely' wiped out with the flu. :/ It's awful. I missed Easter celebrations completely and instead spent the day home in bed. It was terrible. I guess I forgot how awful the flu is. I missed our new church's Easter egg hunt (I stuffed 'all' the eggs for it) and totally missed out on Easter dinner at my parent's house. Not to mention, it was Winston's first Easter and I couldn't even celebrate. Ok, pity rant over. But seriously, what a bummer.
With that being said, I sure hope your Easter was better than mine and that you were able to spend time with family and celebrate the wonderful reality of our risen Lord! Have a great week, friends- and thanks for reading.
