Last night our little tribe made the trip out to Diederich's Berry Farm to pick some fresh strawberries! I haven't done this since I was a little girl and it was so fun. When we arrived a very nice gentleman took us on a golf cart ride back to the strawberry patch and directed us to the perfect spot that hadn't been picked over. On our short ride back to the patch I noticed something immediately- it smelled heavenly! That sweet smell of fresh strawberries was everywhere, and it really added to the experience of picking my own.
There's something so rewarding about picking your own fruit, and produce in general. If you've never done it you should give it a try. It's a fun thing to do with family.
I'm living in this cotton maxi dress I got from Old Navy a few years ago. I've worn it pregnant, not pregnant, post-baby, etc. It's great anytime and keeps me pretty cool in the hot summer months.
Even Winston 'helped' pick berries. ;)
So darn cute.
Our berry haul!
What are you doing to celebrate the summer months and long days? Any favorite activities? Let me hear them!
As I mentioned in the previous post, I'm looking forward to a girl's night out event at Birch & Elm this Friday from 5-8. If you live in Owosso or the surrounding area, come! I'll be hanging out and wearing a fun boho look from the boutique. I'd love to see you there.
I'm also excited to spend this weekend celebrating Ben as a father. It's been so awesome to see him flourish in this new role throughout the past year. He's more than Winston and I could ask for and we love him so much. I hope you all have a great time celebrating with your fathers, too.
